If you've ever felt genuine joy watching a banana peel disappear into dark crumbly soil, this mug was made for you. It's for the person who talks about their compost heap at dinner, who keeps a little crock on the counter, who considers a good worm count a personal achievement.
The illustration shows a wooden slatted compost bin cut clean through so you can see everything going on inside — autumn leaves, food scraps, earthworms winding through dark soil, pill bugs, a suggestion of fungal threads doing their quiet work, and grass growing along the bottom edge. It's detailed and a little bit alive-looking, with a textured collage feel that makes it look almost tactile. Right across the middle it reads "ROT IS PROGRESS", which is, honestly, the correct take.
It comes in 11oz and 15oz, so there's a size for your morning coffee and a size for the days when the bin is frozen solid and you need something bigger to cope. Both are dishwasher and microwave safe.
